-For this space, we used the same basic foot print of the old kitchen with a few new twists. We centered the sink on the island, put in a double trash pullout and added a built in microwave that would be both out of site and easily accessible. Also, we were able to have a wine storage refrigerator and (3) drawer Pot & Pan Drawers on the outside of the island. On the back wall we used both the (2) drawer and (3) drawer Pot & Pan Drawers to tailor the cabinetry to meet the clients cooking needs. The contractor, George Markus of Father and Son Contracting became a favorite of the client for this project for his professional but fun demeanor and perfectionist attitude toward her home.
